June 1995 - May 12, 2007
This weekend we lost our old puppy, Russell, who died in his sleep. He was just a month short of his 12th birthday.
We got Russell when he was just six weeks old. At first, he and The Magician (10 months) were like littermates--they were both at the crawl around and put everything in your mouth stage. Russell was very surprized when The Magician started walking and using his opposable thumbs.
The entire family is taking the loss hard--particularly Shasta, our other dog. Like Will & Grace they were "non-sexual life partners," having spent more than ten years as best friends and companions.

I remember when you got Russell. I'm glad he had such a good life with your family. He was a very lucky dog.
