So, about the blog...

I know. I know. My four readers (as if!) are probably wondering what has happened to all my good blogging intentions. Where have my clever musings gone? My pithy reflections and inciteful commentary?

So, bullets...

  • Today was the first day of school and The Star allowed me to walk her into the building. Where she is now a sophomore. She's planning to take her PSAT next month and is talking about The Evergreen State College. The Magician rode his bike to school. Same school--he's an 8th grader. I'm thrilled to have both kids at one school--really the very best school in town.

  • Our puppy is pretty close to housebroken. Except when too excited or upset--such as this morning when everyone left for work/school and he realized that his whole world was about to change.

  • The Artist and I have both registered for fall classes. He'll be at Portland Community College and I'll be at Portland State. Having both of us in school at the same time may prove to be very smart--or very stupid. Time will tell.

  • We shopped for computers this weekend. As soon as the financial aid comes in, The Artist will be buying what the salesman called "the Ferrari of computers." This is for a man who bikes or drives a 1992 mini-van. He's never had a tool like this before and he's a little intimidated. But I know he's going to rock as a multi-media artist!

  • We spent our Labor Day weekend at home, but still managed to drive to Portland every single day. I hate to admit it, but Portland is much cooler than Vancouver.

  • Our friend Lekker is opening a new art gallery and we have some angst about it. However, I am working on new sewing/crafts/art projects, which I hope will debut next month.

  • I'd like to update my 40x40 blog project, since I'm coming up on my 39th birthday. Perhaps I'll revise the entire thing--including the list. There are multiple items on the list that are not just unrealistic, but WAY out there. It's conceivable that I'll get to Vancouver Island before October 22, 2009, but there is no chance I'll be going to New York or Finland.

Not much more than that. Working, planning, crafting. "Ing" is my life.
