I made this little sweater for her before I knew the gender of the baby and then changed the buttons before mailing it north. It's good for me to recognize that I sometimes finish my projects!

Jemima's Puddleduck Sweater
My friend in Canada, Fiona, had a baby last September. Unremarkable, except that she was 42 and her other daughters were 12 and 14. She named the baby Jemima, which to a Scottish-born Canadian must not conjure images of pancakes and black women in do-rags.
I made this little sweater for her before I knew the gender of the baby and then changed the buttons before mailing it north. It's good for me to recognize that I sometimes finish my projects!
