The March show at the gallery is called "Cut and Paste." It's a fun opportunity to showcase collage, mail art and artist trading cards. The Star and The Artist will both have work in the juried portion of the show.
I, on the other hand, just donated my piece to the gallery. I'm feeling a little over-judged right now and just needed some unconditional acceptance.
My work is made of papier mache, which is just like paper mache, only artier. It's actually newspaper, woodglue, artist paper and paint. The Artist is concerned that it's not "archival quality." I don't care--the fun was in the process, not the product. I called it "Winter Forest" because the trees don't have leaves. It's about 10 inches across.
