I'm just six months (minus a few days) from my 40th birthday!

I've been thinking about a big party with cocktails! and staged photos! and a band! and delicious food! But then Sunday we went to the beach with the dog and had so much fun that I'm considering spending my money on a family vacation instead. I'd still have a party, but it might be an "open house" at our new place with casual drinks and snacks.

I have abandoned my 40x40 blog, but I moved the countdown to the top of this page and consolidated the meager entries into Cherry Bombastic. I have indeed accomplished several more things from the list that I may or may not write about. (I would like to recommend the pancake breakfast at the Sons of Norway lodge--and eating pancakes with one of your best high school friends makes them even better.)

I'm old. But I feel pretty good and I like to think of my gray hairs as "silver"--and that they just make my head sparkle.
