The Cut & Paste show opened at the gallery yesterday and my bowl was the first objet d'art to sell. Of course, it was donated, so the purchase price (just $18) goes to the gallery.
The Artist called me yesterday afternoon to tell me that my piece had been purchased.
Eliza: "Tell me again why I'm sitting in an office and you're the full-time artist?"
The Artist: "Because I don't type."
Also, because I'd have to sell (not just make) more than 2500 paper mache bowls a year to support our family. Unless I raised the price. Like to $10,000 each.
